Baby Registry

So many things, so little time!!! I started to add items on my registry but there are so many items it is overwhelming. Babies R Us gives you "suggested items" but there are so many varieties of everything.

So I pose this question to you....

Do you recommend anything specific?

i.e
What time of bottles do you use?

What is the best monitor?

What diapers did you get newborns?

What is the best, most compact bath tub?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  1. This is our first so we are asking ourselves the same questions. We are discussing breast feedings so I'm no help on bottles, and we are also looking into cloth diapering. So far the only thing I know is I do not want to use gDiapers, I heard they are really hard to use and no very absorbent. Good luck!

  2. If you are planning on breast feeding, no need to worry about bottles yet. We just hit the 2 week old mark 2 days ago & all my bottle feeding & breastpump stuff (medela) sits unopened... probably won't even open it or use any of it for another 4 weeks at least. If you aren't planning on breastfeeding, I hear that the tommee-tippee & dr. brown's are good brands. As far as monitors we didn't want to go too crazy & spend a ton of $$ on a monitor so we went with the Summer Infant Slim & Clear ... so far so good, we really like it! Diapers = Pampers Swaddlers. They are the kind the hospital used, plus they sent us home with a boatload- we've bought more since. So far they seem the most gentle (no harsh perfume smells etc). Tubs... I hear the Puj tub is great! Our bathroom sink is too small so we couldn't get it. We went with the Summer Infant Soothing Spa & Shower because the whole tub fits inside our tub & will grow with baby. Hope this helps :)
