Fab Friday - Chic Baby

On my Destination Diva blog, I do a Fab Friday post every week, so I thought I would do this as well on this blog!!! This gives myself and my followers something to look forward to on Fridays (other than the upcoming weekend!).

All it took was one purchase for Baby L and now I am obsessed! I think my husband is actually scared that he will come home one day and the house will be filled with baby clothes and stuff. It is very addicting :)

Diaper Bag and Purse???

Even now, I always feel like I am a bag lady. Walking into work, I sometimes have my purse, lunch bag, bag with workout clothes and sometimes in crappy weather I am carrying work shoes if I wear boots/wellies in. When you have kids, I can only imagine that AT LEAST triples!!! How do you do it? Do you carry a diaper bag with just a wallet/clutch/wristlet inside? Or a purse and a diaper bag? Most of my friends carry a little clutch/wristlet in their diaper bag.

Grandparents' Name

What do your kids call their grandparents? I know many nationalities have specific names used but not everyone uses them. I was just curious because my parents have no clue and probably are just going with good old mom mom and pop pop!

Jogging Stroller Dilemma

I really want a jogging stroller because I love to run and walk, especially since I am due in early September. Everyone tells me that the BOB is GREAT but I think it is so much money (>$400). Someone else suggested a Jeep one but then was told to get one with a Swivel. I found the Baby Jogger 2011 City Mini, which got a some good reviews.

Does anyone have any feed back???

Baby Registry

So many things, so little time!!! I started to add items on my registry but there are so many items it is overwhelming. Babies R Us gives you "suggested items" but there are so many varieties of everything.

So I pose this question to you....

Do you recommend anything specific?

i.e
What time of bottles do you use?

What is the best monitor?

What diapers did you get newborns?

What is the best, most compact bath tub?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Nursery Furniture Drama

I never knew how early you needed to start thinking about baby furniture! Some places take 6 months to deliver, which is CRAZY!!!!! We have a whole other issue...the room we plan on putting the baby in only has ONE full wall. The other 3 have a window or door on them. The crib is going on the main wall, so we have a space about 52" wide to put a dresser. I would like a dresser that is short and I can put a changing pad on the top.

My friend gave me a baby bargains book, so I can see how companies are ranked.

Here is my top choice but the dresser is too big:

europa baby (La Jobi company) got ranked a A-, which is good. Now my only worry is, do you think the combo dresser (short one) will be enough room or would you suggest getting all three pieces (may be tight)?

First Post - Diva Baby L

My husband and I are so excited to have our FIRST baby, so I thought I would start a baby related blog. It will range from how to questions, possible breakdowns I may have, opinions, product reviews and much more!!!!

The main question I have right now is HOW TO KEEP THIS BABY FROM BEING A COMPLETE DIVA??? The baby, who is only the size of a lemon, yet has already overtaken our lives (in a good way). This kid will be treated like a king! This is the first baby on both sides, so it is understandable!!

Anywho, here are some posts to look forward this week...

* Nursery Furniture Drama - Old house, smaller rooms, only one full wall...makes it difficult to find furniture.

*Grandparent Names - What do your kids call their grandparents?

*When to do what? Between shopping for furniture, which can take up to 6 months to deliver, and looking at daycares, our time is FILLED!!!
